PLC Maintenance Mechanic at Nestle Cabazon, CA

Overview:
PLC technicians interact with all departments and levels of the facility to improve and maximize plant output, efficiency, quality and safety.
They participate as team members in a high volume, light manufacturing environment.
MAJOR JOB
Responsibilities:

Perform planned maintenance inspection/repairs and emergency repairs/adjustments in a timely and efficient manner.

Develop and configure automation control schemes and graphics interfaces to facilitate process improvements and incorporate process, mechanical and safety interlocks.

Provide administration and programming for the plants SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems while insuring that the system is secure.

Troubleshoot and revise PLC ladder logic, HMI displays and I/O configuration.

Provide support for process control systems.

Assist in troubleshooting equipment failures and process upsets.

Provide support to maintenance and operations for process improvement projects.

In conjunction with the MOC program, provide training to ensure that affected plant personnel are aware of changes made to the control system or control system interface, and how these changes may affect process control.

Implement automation projects for line improvements and see them through completion.

Operate and work with production technicians to solve problems on all production equipment.

Tested and wired VFD s (variable frequency drives) to control AC motor speed for pumps, fans and compressors.

Perform electrical troubleshooting on servos, VFD, wiring, relays etc.

Participate in the facility's journey toward continuous improvement using basic problem-solving tools.

Effectively perform other responsibilities delegated by the technical leadership team REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in related fields
Technical knowledge of production related equipment with maintenance experience.

Proven electrical and mechanical skills.

Proven knowledge of Industrial Electrical T/S and Maintenance
Experience working with AB PLC-5, SLC-500, & CLX 5000 processors
Experience in PV, PV+, SCADA T/S and Programing.

Communication protocols (DeviceNet, ControlNet, Ethernet, etc.
)
Enjoy working in and being a part of a performance-driven team and environment.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.
repetitively; good verbal and written communication skills.

Be able to perform multi-task operations while maintaining exceptional performance.

Provide own tools; be able to adapt to changing priorities and conditions.

Willingness to work flexible shifts depending on project/production requirements.

Motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a team and independently to achieve team objectives.

Allen Bradley certified, a plus.

Ladder logic training.

Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Willingness to work holidays and weekends as we are a 24/7 business operating through most weekends and holidays.
